AB Residences- Private Villa Independent
First Impressions
When I first stumbled upon AB Residences- Private Villa Independent, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping into this four-star property tucked away on a quiet side street in Beyoğlu, I immediately understood why couples are absolutely smitten with this place. There’s something refreshingly intimate about having your own private villa space in the heart of Istanbul — it feels like you’ve discovered a secret hideaway that most tourists never find.
The Beyoğlu Advantage
You know what I love about this location? You’re literally in one of Istanbul’s most vibrant neighborhoods, but on this little dead-end street (Maç Çıkmazı translates to “match dead end” — quirky, right?), it’s surprisingly peaceful. I mean, you can walk to Galata Tower in about ten minutes, hit up the trendy bars and galleries along İstiklal Avenue, but when you come back to your villa, it actually feels like you’re escaping the city buzz. The recent guest rating of 9.5 for location isn’t just marketing fluff — this spot genuinely delivers that perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility.
Your Private Space
The villa setup is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel experience. Each room feels more like you’re staying in a carefully curated private residence rather than a commercial property. The independence factor is real here — you’re not dealing with crowded lobbies or fighting for elevator space. I found myself spending way more time just relaxing in the space than I usually would at hotels, probably because it felt so genuinely homey. The attention to detail in the furnishings shows they’ve put thought into creating something special, not just functional.
Why Couples Are Obsessed
Honestly, I get why this place scores so high with couples. There’s an inherent romance to having your own little villa in Istanbul — you can wake up leisurely, maybe grab coffee from one of the neighborhood spots, and plan your day without the typical hotel rush. The privacy factor is huge, especially when you’re trying to have those deeper travel conversations or just want to decompress after exploring the city’s more chaotic areas. Plus, being in Beyoğlu means you’re close to some genuinely romantic dinner spots that locals actually frequent, not just the tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.4 overall rating tells the real story here — this isn’t just about a nice place to sleep. People consistently rave about feeling like they’ve found something authentic in a city where it’s easy to get lost in the typical tourist experience. The villa concept works because it gives you that local living feel while still providing the service and cleanliness standards you expect. I’d definitely come back, particularly because once you know about this little street and how to navigate the neighborhood, you feel like you’re in on Istanbul’s best-kept accommodation secret.

Lovely guy
Place was luxurious and very comfy
The villa, was cleverly designed with three floors and a basement, providing ample space for our needs. On the ground floor, we found a welcoming open kitchen and a cozy living area equipped with a smart TV—a perfect spot for relaxation after a day of exploration.
The first floor featured not one, but two bedrooms. One was a comfortable bedroom and the other, a smaller yet cozy space that added flexibility to our sleeping arrangements. Both rooms shared a convenient bathroom with a walk-in shower, offering privacy and comfort.
Climbing up to the second floor, we discovered another inviting bedroom, a bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi bath—an unexpected delight that added a touch of opulence to our stay.
Ascending to the third floor, we were pleasantly surprised to find yet another kitchen, accompanied by a terrace where we could enjoy the fresh air and the ambiance of Istanbul. It was a lovely spot for morning coffee or evening conversations.
The basement floor provided additional convenience with a bathroom equiped with a washing machine and an extra living area. We also noted an outdoor area where it appeared they were in the process of creating a garden—an exciting prospect for future guests.
The villa was luxuriously decorated, and the quality of the furnishings and beddings was evident.
Our host was friendly and responsive to our inquiries, always just a text message away.
In conclusion, our short stay near Taksim Square was made comfortable and enjoyable thanks to this charming villa. If you're looking for a well-designed and conveniently located place to stay in Istanbul, this villa is certainly worth considering. We left with the hope of returning someday to see the garden in full bloom.
