You can walk to major sights like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia (honestly, it’s maybe 15 minutes on foot), but when you come back in the evening, you’re in a genuinely residential area where corner shops stay open late and the evening call to prayer echoes beautifully between the buildings.
