Here’s what I love about the Beyoğlu location — you’re actually in the heart of modern Istanbul without being stuck in the tourist chaos of Sultanahmet. The hotel sits on Kurtuluş Deresi Caddesi, which might sound intimidating if you don’t speak Turkish, but it’s basically a main thoroughfare that connects you to everything. Taksim Square is a short walk away, and you know what? Having parking at the hotel is genuinely rare for this part of the city. Most places around here expect you to figure it out yourself, so that’s a real win if you’re driving.

The Room Experience

My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that actually opened — something you don’t always get in modern hotels. The view stretched across the city’s mix of Ottoman architecture and contemporary buildings, which is honestly what makes Istanbul so captivating. The bed was that perfect Sheraton standard (firm but comfortable), and the bathroom had a rainfall shower that I may have used longer than necessary. Air conditioning worked flawlessly, which matters more than you’d think during Istanbul’s humid summers.

The breakfast spread here is where this hotel really shines. I mean, they’ve got everything — continental classics, Turkish specialties, and they actually do justice to dietary restrictions with proper vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options. It’s not just token gestures either; the vegan börek was surprisingly good. The restaurant overlooks the city, and watching Istanbul wake up while sipping Turkish coffee became my morning ritual. Service was attentive without hovering, which is exactly what you want when you’re still figuring out your day.

  The hotel was lovely and clean rooms were comfortable. Staff were very helpful and polite. Yucel who dealt with our bags was very attentive. The reception staff were very helpful and could not do enough for you. The courtesy shuttle drivers who took you to the main tourist area were very nice. Hotel has good facilities. The Souk resteraunt food was great x Location is ok its slightly out about a 25 min walk to Taxim Square however there is a goid shuttle bus provided by the hotel free of charge. Breakfast was great lots of choices xx

  I've spent 5 nights at Sheraton Istanbul City Center and I really appreciate my stay. The room was clean and well accomodated.
