The location on Sadri Alisik Street in Taksim is actually brilliant — you’re right in the heart of Istanbul’s modern district but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the main street chaos. I mean, Istiklal Avenue is literally a two-minute walk, so you’ve got endless restaurant, shops, and that famous tram right there. What really sold me though was how easy it is to hop over to the historic areas — Galata Tower is practically next door, and you can walk to the Golden Horn in about ten minutes.

The Room Experience

The room design is where Room Mate Emir really shines. Each one has this boutique hotel feel with bold colors and modern furnishings that somehow manage to be both trendy and comfortable. The beds are genuinely fantastic (and I’m pretty picky about this) — they’ve got this perfect firmness that actually lets you sleep well after a long day of walking around the city. The bathrooms are sleek with great water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in Istanbul hotels, so that’s a real plus.

Dining & Amenities

Breakfast here is surprisingly comprehensive for a boutique property. They’ve got the usual continental spread, but what impressed me was how they cater to different dietary needs — proper vegan options, halal choices, and everything’s clearly labeled. The restaurant area has this great energy in the mornings, and the staff actually seems to remember your coffee preferences after a day or two. There’s also a fitness area that’s compact but well-equipped, plus they’ve got parking available which is honestly a godsend in this part of the city.

What really strikes me about this place is how many people come back — there’s definitely something to be said for a hotel that creates that kind of loyalty. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work, whether that’s helping with dinner reservations or giving you the real scoop on which neighborhoods to explore.   One of the best hotels in Taksim, the location is perfect, the hotel is brand new and very quiet< suggest they add coffee machines in the rooms or keep the bar open till 20 pm
