The lobby has this incredible sense of space and light, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Istanbul like living artwork.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about the Besiktas location — you’re actually in one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods without being stuck in the tourist bubble of Sultanahmet. The Zorlu Center connection means you can pop down for shopping or catch a show at the performing arts center, but step outside and you’re in real Istanbul. The Bosphorus is practically at your doorstep, and getting to places like Ortaköy or even across to the Asian side is surprisingly easy. Couples seem to get this location particularly well (they rate it 9.6), probably because there’s something romantic about being above the city but still connected to its pulse.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had these massive windows that made me feel like I was floating above the city. What struck me most was how quiet everything was — you’d never guess you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities.
