  Excellent location and super friendly and helpful staff, some of the best ever. The last day my cell phone didnt work and Mekan helped me with much patience and willingness to find a way to print all the necessary papers for my trip back home. Highly recommend, especially for the hospitality of the staff.

  All you need, tidy, comfortable and great aircon. Some may say a bit small but all you need for Istanbul. Good value.

  Very good location. A room with simple furnishings, large and comfortable, no 501. There is a kettle, tea, instant coffee and a fridge. The bathroom is clean with liquid soap, shower gel and a hairdryer. Very friendly staff, they offered us jelly beans ;-). Great old TV series :D. Polonya selam söylüyor 🙂

  The thing i loved most is that the staff is extremely hospitable and fluent in english which is always a plus in turkey. The room is small but comfortable and sufficient for 2 people. The price is really good. (We paid 300$ for 5 nights with a special discount from Booking). Its perfect for a short-term stay and exploring istanbul. Location is really good, in between istkilal street (hiking up) and the metro station (moving down). There are many coffee shops, restaurants, mini markets in the same street. We took the room with the sea view, 6th floor, lift available till the 5th floor and its just one flight of stairs but its an easy one. We’re glad we took this room – the sunrise view was phenomenal. The bed was so comfy. Hot water is not a problem. Previous reviews mentioned noises from the street and thin walls – that wasn’t our experience at all so don’t give it a second thought. The staff will provide you with water, tissues and towels instantly upon request. They even took the initiative to order and handle our airport cab transfer. Thank you again to the hosts!

  The location is 10/10, its 1 minutes to tophane tram station, this tram lane can take you to alfateh area and from this lane you can connect to multiple lane to visit most of the attractions of Istanbul.
  Karakoy is 4 minutes walking in shaded walkways by trees.
  Galata port in less than 9 minutes of walking.
  Many groceries within 1-2 minutes of walking.
  Istiklal street is 10 minutes of walking, but keep in your mind the street is on slope.
