No11 Hotel & Apartments
First Impressions
Walking down the narrow cobblestone streets of Beyoğlu, you might almost miss No11 Hotel & Apartments — and that’s actually part of its charm. Tucked away on Balyoz Sokak in the heart of Asmalı Mescit, this four-star boutique property feels like a well-kept secret that locals would rather not share. The building itself has that classic Istanbul character, where Ottoman-era architecture meets modern sensibilities without trying too hard to impress.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty spectacular — couples consistently rate it 9.5, and I can see why. You’re literally in the middle of Istanbul’s most vibrant nightlife district, with Istiklal Street just a few minutes’ walk away. What I love about Asmalı Mescit is that it’s got this perfect balance — buzzy enough to feel alive, but tucked into side streets that actually quiet down at night. The Galata Tower is practically next door, and you can walk to the Golden Horn in about ten minutes. Plus, there’s something magical about being able to stumble back to your hotel after exploring the meyhanes and rooftop bars that this neighborhood is famous for.
The Accommodations
The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for Istanbul standards — you know how these historic buildings can be cramped, but No11 really maximized their space well. The beds here are genuinely comfortable (guests consistently rave about the sleep quality), and I mean actually comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable. Some units come as full apartment setups, which is brilliant if you’re staying longer or want that extra space to spread out. The design strikes this nice balance between contemporary and traditional Turkish elements without feeling like a theme park.
Dining & Amenities
The buffet breakfast is served in a cozy space that feels more like a neighborhood café than a typical hotel dining room. It’s not elaborate, but they do the basics really well — fresh bread, local cheeses, olives, and proper Turkish tea. The restaurant area doubles as a social space where you’ll often find other travelers planning their day or locals stopping by. What impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area — they gave me directions to places I hadn’t even heard of that ended up being highlights of my trip.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about this place that really works. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or over-the-top amenities — instead, you get a comfortable base in one of Istanbul’s best neighborhoods with staff who actually care about your experience. The fact that couples rate the location so highly tells you everything you need to know about the romantic potential here. Whether you’re planning to explore the historic peninsula during the day or dive into Beyoğlu’s legendary nightlife, you’ll find yourself perfectly positioned. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Istanbul rather than just visiting it.

Guest Reviews
Nice interior, very funny cool animals like dog and two cats who are meet you at the entrance. Everything was perfect.
Staff is really friendly and useful. Good breakfasts: all we love, especial home made yogurt. At the same time it’s not good that good coffee (from coffee machine) and tee (not cooked in a common pot) is not include in a hotel breakfast and you can drink included but not drinkable tee and coffee or should spend additional money for good once.
I thought that bought nice room with balcony, but it was just fire escape, which is not safe at all compared to the balcony. At the same time silence compensated for all the shortcomings, which allowed me to sleep well at night. The renovation and cleanliness at first really disappointed me. I usually don't stay in hotels like this, but in the end the silence at night (when the nightlife was in full swing and my friends in other hotels nearby couldn't sleep until 2am), the wonderful staff and home-cooked breakfasts changed my anger to mercy and I fell in love with this place.
Loved the furry hotel staff - the cats!🐈 I am a cat lover, but beware, if you have a phobia or allergy, you might not quite like having cats around in your hotel reception
Clean and nice room with a small kitchenette that made life easier
Amazing location in the heart of istiklal Street with a lot of bars and eateries around , a few minutes walk to the sishane metro station
