  I selected this hotel as it is in the heart of the old city of Istanbul. We mingled with the people and got to know true Turkish hospitality. I could have chosen a european style more modern hotel but wanted this hotel as soon as I saw the photos especially the underground breakfast area. In my view, this is an an authentic and charming little hotel that makes you feel like you stepped back in time and space. If you love ancient and authentic structures, then this might be the one for you. Situated in a busy street, you get to see the real people of Istanbul in their everyday life.
  
  The breakfast area is an antique underground space that I find so unique! I think it is at least 300 years old if not more! As for the breakfast we got to enjoy an amazing selection every morning starting at 8 am.
  We came from the United States and have been in other hotels but have not seen this kind of selection of the daily breakfast including veggies and sweets. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
  As for the location of the hotel, being in the centre of the old city so close to all the attractions was worth it. We got the istanbul card and found the transportation to be easy. The staff even booked for us a bosphorus trip that we enjoyed. At the end we extended our stay by a few days.
  
  I do recommend this little gem that is charming and authentic. You will go home with sweet memories.
