Galataport Flat Company Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Galataport Flat Company feels like discovering one of those perfectly positioned secrets that locals keep to themselves. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Beyoglu, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that authentic Istanbul character — you know, the kind where modern comfort meets the city’s historic soul without trying too hard to be something it’s not. The attention to detail in every corner reflects a genuine commitment to preserving the neighborhood’s charm while providing contemporary amenities.
The Beyoglu Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying in this part of Istanbul — you’re literally steps away from everything that makes the city pulse. Galata Tower is practically your neighbor, and the walk down to the Golden Horn takes maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling slowly. The narrow streets around here buzz with energy, especially in the evenings when the cafes and bars come alive. I mean, you could spend hours just wandering Istiklal Street, which is close enough that you’ll hear the weekend crowds but far enough that you can actually sleep. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of Istanbul’s vibrant cultural scene.
Your Space
The apartment setup here really works well — it’s not trying to be a fancy hotel suite, but rather gives you that “temporary local” feeling. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen area, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money during my stay. There’s something satisfying about picking up fresh ingredients from the nearby markets and cooking breakfast while looking out over the neighborhood rooftops. The room layouts are thoughtful too — not huge, but everything has its place, and the windows actually open (a small thing that makes a big difference). Natural light floods through throughout the day, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Getting Around
What really impressed me was how connected this place feels to the rest of the city. The metro stations are walkable, and if you’re heading to the old city, the ferry from nearby Karakoy is actually more enjoyable than taking a taxi through traffic. Parking can be tricky in this area — like most of central Istanbul — but the staff knows the neighborhood well and can point you toward the best options if you’re driving. Public transportation access makes exploring the broader city incredibly convenient and affordable.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s that sweet spot where you get authentic Istanbul living without sacrificing comfort or safety. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the intimate scale and the romantic evening walks you can take right from the front door. The staff actually knows the area — they’ll tell you which restaurant has the best meze or when the local markets are worth visiting. You’re not just staying somewhere in Istanbul; you’re staying somewhere that feels connected to what makes this city special, and that’s honestly harder to find than you might think.

Reviews of Galataport Flat Company
Olga from United States (9/10)
We stayed at the property as two families traveling from the USA and Russian ( 4 adults and 7 kids) and absolutely enjoyed the location and the view from the balcony, very friendly and supportive stuff, very laid back atmosphere, no pressure from neighbors or stuff( since kids were loud sometimes). The property was clean, spacious, definitely has an authentic Turkish atmosphere to it. We had everything we need, caffès nearby, local fruits.
Chin from Malaysia (9/10)
We loved the hotel.
Danila from Russia (9/10)
Location is very good! Price as well. We didn't take breakfast here, so no comments. Quite comfortable room and beds. Don't want to add it as negative – but maybe a bit "tired" bathroom, the towels were not so crispy new and fresh, but for this price and location all was good!
David from United Arab Emirates (9/10)
Breakfast was in a cafe 30 seconds walk from the apartment. The food was nice and they had a decent selection of items to choose from. The flat was a good size with lots of space for our son to crawl around. Bed was comfortable and two sofas made it cosy. Location was fantastic as close to main areas and transport links
Tanya from Australia (8/10)

It was a good place to stay in. Very comfy and clean room. Polite and helpfull reception. I think it is a good starting point to see whole city. It is close to tram and Kabatas ferry (few minutes walk).
Zoltan from Hungary (9/10)
The beautiful, huge terrace and the view.
Elizaveta from Netherlands (9/10)
We stayed with a group of 7 people and got a flat with 3 bedrooms, each of which is an independent hotel room with a fridge, bathroom and a minimalistic kitchen. Everything was clean. We were allowed to check-in a bit earlier, as soon as our rooms were ready. The location is really pleasant, communication with the hotel was clear. Also, access to the cosy roof terrace was really nice in summer.
Omar from Bahrain (7/10)
Wifi didn't work properly
Asma from United Kingdom (9/10)
The property was literally 8-9 mins walk from Galata tower. Rizwan was of great help and support. Accommodation was very clean. There were some pots, pan and cutlinary. They do have an elevator but the entrance has 8-9 stairs. Overall it is a very good price for place and the staff is absolutely kind and co-operative.
