Eurostars Hotel Old City
First Impressions
Walking into Eurostars Hotel Old City feels like stepping into a well-kept secret in the heart of Istanbul. The building sits right on Ankara Caddesi in Sirkeci, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to explore the old city. This four-star property has that polished European hotel vibe — clean lines, thoughtful details, but nothing too flashy. What struck me immediately was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their regular guests by name, which makes sense since this place has way more repeat visitors than most hotels in the area.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, but tucked away on a quieter street that doesn’t get the tourist chaos. The Sirkeci train station is right there — perfect if you’re planning day trips or arriving from the airport via public transport. I mean, couples absolutely love this location (they rate it 9.4 out of 10), and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can wander to the Grand Bazaar before breakfast, grab dinner in Sultanahmet, then slip back to your room without dealing with the main tourist drags.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are what I’d call “smart comfortable” — not huge, but everything’s exactly where it should be. The beds are actually good quality (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be), and the bathrooms feel modern without being sterile. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing — even though you’re in the middle of everything, nights are surprisingly quiet. The views vary depending on which floor you’re on, but honestly, you’ll be out exploring most of the time anyway.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
The breakfast setup here is solid — they do a proper continental buffet with halal options, which is thoughtful for the diverse mix of guests. The spread isn’t massive, but everything’s fresh and there’s enough variety to keep you happy for a week-long stay. I particularly liked that they had both Turkish and international options, so you can ease into local flavors or stick with familiar choices. The breakfast room gets good morning light, and the staff keeps everything well-stocked even during busy periods.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it nails the fundamentals without trying to be something it’s not. The location score of 9.5 isn’t just marketing fluff — you really can walk everywhere that matters in Old City Istanbul. The fact that so many people come back tells you something about the consistency and service quality. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it’s the kind of hotel where everything just works smoothly, the staff remembers your coffee preference, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals would actually recommend to their friends visiting the city.

Guest Reviews
Overall, the staff here are very nice, helpful, and accommodating. They are the reason we are giving it such high reviews and of course the centralized location to the metro, tram, ferry, bazaars and other areas. We have stayed at a lot of different hotels within Istanbul and this has by far been the best for breakfast, location, and service.
