Erboy Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci
First Impressions
Walking up to Erboy Hotel Istanbul Sirkeci on Ebusuut Cad, you immediately get that feeling you’ve landed somewhere special. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Eminonu, and I mean literally — you’re steps away from some of Istanbul‘s most iconic sights. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention, but once you’re inside, you realize the owners really know what they’re doing.
The Perfect Spot
Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable — there’s a reason couples rate it 9.7 out of 10. You can walk to the Galata Bridge in about three minutes, which means you’re watching fishermen cast their lines while the call to prayer echoes from nearby mosques. The Grand Bazaar? Maybe a five-minute stroll. Sultanahmet with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia is close enough that you’ll probably end up walking there multiple times during your stay. What I really appreciate is that despite being so central, the street itself isn’t completely chaotic — you get the energy without feeling overwhelmed.
Your Room
The room quality here genuinely surprised me, and I’ve stayed in quite a few places around this area. People rave about the beds for good reason — they’ve invested in proper mattresses that actually let you sleep soundly despite being in one of the world’s busiest cities. The rooms aren’t huge (this is central Istanbul, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough space to spread out your stuff. Air conditioning works well, which you’ll definitely appreciate during summer months, and the bathrooms are modern and clean.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here is actually one of those pleasant surprises you don’t always expect from a mid-range hotel. They do a proper buffet spread with continental options, but what sets it apart is the attention to dietary needs — vegetarian and halal options are genuinely well thought out, not just afterthoughts. The Turkish breakfast items are authentic (good cheese, fresh bread, proper olives), and they usually have some hot dishes that change daily. You know what? I found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning, which doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it’s not. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping you navigate the city — they’ll draw little maps, recommend restaurant spots that locals actually go to, and help arrange things like airport transfers. The 9 out of 10 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs. You’re paying for location and comfort, and you’re getting both without any of the pretentious nonsense that sometimes comes with prime real estate in tourist areas. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about stepping out your door and immediately being part of Istanbul’s incredible energy.

Guest Reviews
Our stay at this property was exceptional! A big shout-out to Ms. Egle and Mr. Ali, who went above and beyond to assist us with even the smallest inquiries. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out.
The location is ideal—walking distance to everywhere. To the right, you can easily reach Sirkeci and Eminönü, and to the left, Sultanahmet and the Grand Bazaar. The Gulhane tram station is just a 2-minute walk, making it even more convenient.
We stayed in a family connecting room, which was impressively spacious for our family of five. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious menu that changed daily. Special mention to the bellman—though elderly, he is incredibly strong, helpful, and kind.
We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely return to this property in the future!
I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING bad or even mediocre to say.
Sparkling clean, perfect location and amazing stuff. Extra gratitude and love for the people working there. Everyone was super helpful and genuinely happy to do so.
If I ever go back to Istanbul, I will stay there without thinking twice.
Thank you!!
