Very close is the T1 line and boats to reach the Asian side.
Ali is an exceptional host.He helped and guided us to everything we needed.
The apartment is very clean and fully equipped, air conditioning and internet worked flawlessly..

Kitchen, washing machine and other stuff to feel more like home.
Apartments as on the photo: cosy, clean and atmospheric. We lived on the fifth floor overlooking the Galata Tower. Cool! Really cool! Apartments are not big, two-level, if you are with a small child, you should think about safety. The room has absolutely everything you need.
Please note that there is no lift in the house and the way up to the fifth floor is a narrow steep spiral staircase. The desire to go up and down unnecessarily does not arise ( although on the third day ran with one time :)) .

+ very good location within walking distance to Taksim and many great restaurants (not just the touristy ones on Istiklal street), supermarkets, etc.
+ despite Istanbul being a noisy city in general and despite the location being so close to Taksim, this apartment was really quiet (with some of the best sound insulation I have seen in any of the places I have stayed during my Istanbul visits)
+ kitchen was good enough for basic food necessities
+ heating was provided using the air-condition (which worked fine and made the room warm enough, even in the colder nighttime temperatures)
+ the host Ali was friendly and also fulfilled special wishes (like an extra blanket or thinner pillow)
+ WiFi was working mostly fine
