You know what’s amazing about staying in Sultanahmet? Everything you came to Istanbul to see is basically outside your front door. The Topkapi Palace is a five-minute walk, the Grand Bazaar is close enough that you’ll probably end up there multiple times (trust me on this), and the whole historic peninsula unfolds around you. The hotel sits on a quieter side street — Dr Emin Paşa Sokak — so you get all the benefits of being in the heart of everything without the constant tourist chaos. Couples absolutely love this spot, and I can see why — there’s something pretty romantic about wandering these ancient streets together.

The rooms here are genuinely comfortable, and I have to say, they weren’t kidding about those beds. After long days exploring the city’s hills and cobblestones, sinking into one of these mattresses feels like a small miracle. The bathrooms are well-appointed, and honestly, having a proper shower after a day in the Turkish heat is exactly what you need.

  Amazing location- just genuinely a few minutes stroll to so many of this area's attractions: Bascilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Hagi Sofia, Topkapi Palace. 10 minutes to Grand Bazaar. One minute to T1 tram stop to go further afield or a 15-20 minute walk to Galata Bridge area. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful in reception (nothing was too much trouble- even speaking to my taxi driver about pick up on my behalf), efficient and kind in breakfast dining room and room spotless after cleaning. Marble decor is impressive and we enjoyed having comfortable chairs in the bedroom as well as the bed. Shower very powerful. The biffet breakfast selection was very good and contained a very wide range. Adjoining restaurant excellent too and 10% discount four hotel guests.
